About PowerPhotos

PowerPhotos is a specialized Mac utility for managing multiple Apple Photos libraries with stronger control over merging, deduplication, and bulk organization than the native Photos app provides. It helps users consolidate scattered libraries, find and remove duplicate images, and move large sets of photos across collections while preserving important structure and metadata. For photo-heavy Mac workflows, PowerPhotos reduces manual cleanup time and keeps libraries easier to maintain.

PowerPhotos Feature Highlights

Core reasons buyers choose PowerPhotos for media management workflows.

  • Controlled multi-library merge workflowsMerge multiple Apple Photos libraries into one destination with preview visibility before applying changes.
  • Duplicate and similar-photo cleanup at scaleIdentify likely duplicate images across large libraries so cleanup decisions are faster and more consistent.
  • Cross-library copy and move operationsMove photos and albums between libraries without repetitive manual export/import sequences.
  • Batch metadata editing for organization qualityEdit titles, keywords, and descriptions in bulk to keep large archives searchable and easier to manage long term.

No other utility does this library copy workflow as well

I know of no other utility capable of copying content from one Photos library to another. That is something I have to do from time to time, in order to share full-resolution edited images with other people in the family.
